Located at Upper Valley Medical Center (Troy, OH)
Part Time - evening shift - 10am to 6:30pm - with every other weekend
Working approximately 20 hours per week

Position Summary:
The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures.
- Accurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transport.
- Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems.
- Deliver specimens to testing areas.
- Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies.
- Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environment.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred
- Ability to walk 5-7 miles daily and stand for entire shift.
- Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals.
- Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies.
- Compliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areas.
- Completion of required safety training and health evaluations promptly.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness.
