Position Summary
The Commercial Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cleaning staff, ensuring high-quality cleaning standards, maintaining customer satisfaction, conducting inspections, training employees, and ensuring all assigned facilities are cleaned according to company and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of custodial staff.
Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and company policies.
Assign daily work schedules and monitor employee performance.
Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Conduct quality control inspections and correct deficiencies.
Communicate with clients and management regarding service needs and concerns.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures.
Respond to emergency cleaning situations as needed.
Assist with cleaning duties when staffing shortages occur.
Complete inspection reports, timesheets, and other required documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience required.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical cleaning tasks.
