Business Analyst (FIX Protocol)

Role Overview
We re looking for a Business Analyst with strong knowledge of FIX (Financial Information eXchange) Protocol to support trading system implementations, client onboarding, and regulatory/reporting needs. You ll bridge business (traders, brokers, clients) and technology teams to ensure accurate FIX messaging and smooth trade flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business & functional requirements for trading systems
- Work on FIX onboarding for clients, brokers, and exchanges
- Analyze and map FIX messages (e.g., New Order Single, Execution Report)
- Collaborate with developers and QA to validate FIX flows and test scenarios
- Create BRDs, FRDs, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production rollouts
- Troubleshoot FIX connectivity / message issues using logs
- Act as liaison between trading desks, operations, and IT teams
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of FIX Protocol (4.2 / 4.4 / 5.0)
- Experience in capital markets / electronic trading environments
- Solid BA skills: requirement gathering, stakeholder management, documentation
- Ability to read and interpret FIX logs & message flows
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle (order execution settlement)
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation
