We are seeking a Field Service Technician II to support a national home improvement retail client. This role involves providing onsite technical support, troubleshooting IT equipment, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, printers, thin clients, access points, and network devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Perform installations, maintenance, and break/fix support
- Support copper and fiber cabling, including basic termination
- Document all work, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systems
- Travel daily within a 50–125+ mile radius (company vehicle provided)
- Work with remote teams to resolve escalated issues
- Occasionally work at heights (20–25 feet) and lift up to 25 lbs
- 2+ year of IT technical support or field technician experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, or Linux environments
- Experience with networking basics and IT hardware support
- Familiarity with POS systems, printers, and network equipment
- Experience with cabling (copper/fiber) is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license required
- CompTIA A+ (preferred)
