We are seeking a motivated IT Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support for a national home improvement retail client. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers, thin clients, access points, servers, and network switches
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within defined service levels
- Travel daily within a 25–100 mile radius to service client locations
- Document all work performed, including issues, resolutions, and ticket updates
- Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Support cabling work including copper and fiber (terminations preferred)
- Ensure timely completion of service calls and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Occasionally work at heights (20–25 feet); training provided
- Understand basic AC/DC and backup power concepts
- Minimum 1 year of IT technical support experience
- CompTIA A certification (required)
- CompTIA Network (preferred)
- Experience with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux systems
- Familiarity with networking and hardware troubleshooting
- Strong time management and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
