What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Lead + Project Coordinator position at Comptroller of Maryland?
We’re hiring for one of the most important public-sector modernization efforts in the country.
Maryland is undertaking a once-in-a-generation transformation of its statewide financial system to replace a decades-old platform with a modern, cloud-based ERP impacting 90 agencies. To support this effort, we are actively hiring for two critical roles:
Quality Assurance Lead: to ensure decisions, deliverables, and processes align with our governance framework and meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and audit readiness.
High-level requirements:
- Experience in QA, governance, or PMO oversight (ERP or large IT programs preferred)
- Strong understanding of compliance, controls, and performance reporting
- Ability to operate at an executive level and provide independent oversight
Project Coordinator: provide hands-on execution support to keep a complex, multi-workstream program aligned, on schedule, and operating with discipline.
High-level requirements:
- Experience supporting project delivery, PMO operations, or large IT programs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track milestones and dependencies
- Experience preparing executive-level reporting and supporting governance forums
