Dominguez High School is seeking a dedicated Marine Instructor (MI) to support the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (MCJROTC) program. The MI will assist the Senior Marine Instructor (SMI) in managing and executing the MCJROTC program, providing classroom instruction, and supporting co-curricular activities that promote leadership, discipline, and academic achievement in accordance with U.S. Marine Corps and district policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications: • Must be a High School graduate; must obtain an Associate’s degree within five years (Bachelor’s degree preferred). • Must be certified as a Marine Corps JROTC Instructor by the Marine Corps Training and Education Command. • Must meet one of the following Marine Corps service categories: • Category I – Non-commissioned Officers (E-5 through E-9) with 18 or more years of active duty service. • Category II – Reserve Non-commissioned Officers with 20 years of honorable service. • Category III – Non-commissioned Officers with 8 or more years of active duty service, separated no more than 5 years from active duty. • Category IV – Active Reserve Non-commissioned Additional Information: This is a full-time, in-person position requiring regular attendance during the school day, as well as occasional evening and weekend activities. Instructors must complete all required certifications and training as outlined by the Marine Corps JROTC program.
