Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant & RMA Specialist manages product procurement and handles the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process. You will maintain optimal inventory levels, negotiate with vendors, and resolve warranty claims efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing Support
- Process purchase orders based on inventory needs.
- Track shipment statuses to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain vendor records with updated pricing and terms.
- Reconcile invoice discrepancies with accounting.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
Warranty & RMA Management
- Coordinate RMA requests from clients and internal teams.
- Inspect returned products to verify defects.
- Submit warranty claims to manufacturers and vendors.
- Track return logistics from shipment to credit receipt.
- Negotiate vendor credits or replacements for faulty goods.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years in purchasing, logistics, or RMA handling.
- Education: High school diploma required, some college preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) and Excel.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication for vendor relations.
