Duties
- Conduct proactive outreach on the streets, parks, shelters, and other community spaces to engage individuals in need of support
- Build rapport with diverse populations including youth, and young adults.
- Provide information about available services such as housing assistance, healthcare, addiction counseling, and social programs
- Collaborate with local organizations to coordinate program development and resource sharing
- Collect data on outreach activities and client interactions to monitor program effectiveness and inform future strategies
- Utilize social media platforms and marketing techniques to raise awareness about outreach initiatives and community resources.
- Experience
- Strong public speaking skills for engaging diverse audiences effectively
- Background in program development, project management, or community outreach initiatives
- Knowledge of social media management and marketing strategies for community engagement
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in data collection tools and technical platforms used for reporting and communication
- Leadership experience in youth programs teaching or social work environments is a plus
- Excellent writing skills for documentation, reports, and promotional materials
- CPR certification and familiarity with working with underserved populations are preferred
