NOW HIRING...a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school team in Bel Air, MD. In this role, you will support certified Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering vital speech and language services to students. Your efforts will directly contribute to the improvement of students' communication skills and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language programs as guided by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Conduct routine tasks such as preparing materials, documenting student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
- Support students individually or in small groups to achieve therapy goals.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to integrate speech and language strategies within the classroom environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field or completion of an SLPA program.
- Valid SLPA license or certification as required by the state of Maryland.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
