Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Front Desk Receptionist role located in Mount Juliet, TN. The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them warmly, checking them in, verifying demographics and insurance information, and ensuring all required forms are completed. Daily responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing voicemail messages, and providing basic information about the practice and services. The role also involves handling patient registration, collecting co-pays, organizing and updating patient records, and coordinating with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow. Additional duties include performing general office tasks such as scanning, filing, mail handling, and maintaining a clean, professional reception area.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Effective phone etiquette and confidence managing multi-line phone systems and high call volumes.
- Experience with receptionist duties and front desk operations in a healthcare or similar professional setting prefered.
- Clerical skills, including data entry, filing, appointment scheduling, and basic office software (e.g., email, scheduling systems, EMR/EHR preferred).
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior medical office or sleep/pulmonary practice experience is a plus.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow all privacy and compliance requirements.
Full day Tuesday and Thursday and few flexible hour other days.
