Job Summary
Participate and contribute in our Environmental Services department as well as assisting all other company departments when needed. Opportunities for advancement are available.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit permit applications (Air Quality, Stormwater, etc.)
- Prepare written pollution prevention / response plans (SPCC, SWPPC, PPC, RMP, etc.)
- Perform ASTM Phase I site assessments
- Perform various sampling tasks (Stormwater, Wastewater, LDAR, etc.)
- Prepare and submit various environmental reports (Emission Inventory, Hazardous Waste, Residual Waste, eDMR, TRI, Tier II, etc.)
- Develop tracking materials and procedures to ensure that clients maintain compliance with permit and other requirements
- Review internal database, business development, and marketing materials and procedures
- Review existing client site activities and develop recommendations for service scope expansion
- Interact with current and new clients
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work environments vary, from office environments to heavy industrial.
- Sometimes required to stand for long periods, walk for long distances, stoop, squat, stretch, etc.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Noise level in the work environment varies, but is typically low to moderate.
- Often required to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Periodic overtime required, with occasional weekends or odd hours when needed by client.
- Available to travel to a client’s facility, sometimes over night, when needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)
- Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Science or related field.
- Must meet the combined educational, experience, and/or licensing requirements of an "Environmental Professional" under 40 CFR 312.10
- Computer literacy, specifically MS Word for Windows.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
