Role Description The UST Installer – Louisiana/Oklahoma Market is a full-time, on-site role. We are looking for multiple candidates one for Louisiana market & one for the Oklahoma Market. This role is responsible for installing and maintaining underground storage tanks, associated piping, and fuel dispensing equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting construction plans, preparing and organizing job sites, performing excavation and backfilling, setting and testing tanks and lines, and assisting with the integration of dispensers and POS systems. The installer collaborates closely with project managers, technicians, and contractors to ensure safe, accurate, and timely completion of projects. The role also involves conducting inspections, documenting work performed, following strict safety protocols, and providing basic troubleshooting support for installed systems.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with underground storage tank installation, fuel system components, and basic mechanical or construction work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical specifications related to fuel system installations.
- Strong understanding of job-site safety practices, including OSHA guidelines and safe operation of tools and equipment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, working in trenches, and operating in varying outdoor conditions.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills for accurate installation, testing, and troubleshooting of fuel system equipment.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with technicians, contractors, and supervisors on-site.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites within the Louisiana market; willingness to work occasional extended hours as projects require.
- Relevant LDEQ/OCC certifications in UST installation/closure is required, construction trades are strongly preferred.
