Position: Optometrist (Part-Time)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Optometrist (Part-Time) to join our mobile care team in Lexington, NC. This opportunity is ideal for a provider looking to supplement their schedule while bringing essential vision care to underserved seniors.

CMC fully manages all administrative and logistical responsibilities—including equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing—allowing you to concentrate entirely on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams for geriatric and long-term care patients
• Screen for and manage common ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
• Prescribe corrective lenses and oversee follow-up care
• Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on vision health and preventive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure high-quality, ethical care
• Partner with facility staff to support seamless patient scheduling and care flow
  
  

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD)
• Active North Carolina Optometry License
• Experience with geriatric or mobile care preferred
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
• Ability to work independently in a mobile care setting
