Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams for geriatric and long-term care patients
- Screen for and manage common ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
- Prescribe corrective lenses and oversee follow-up care
- Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on vision health and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure high-quality, ethical care
- Partner with facility staff to support seamless patient scheduling and care flow
- Doctor of Optometry (OD)
- Active North Carolina Optometry License
- Experience with geriatric or mobile care preferred
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile care setting
