What You’ll Do
- Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
- Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, and fittings for patients
- Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
- Follow strict sterilization and infection control protocols
- Ensure patients feel comfortable, supported, and informed
- Complete basic documentation, charting and administrative tasks
- Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability
- 2 years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Assistant preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience serving geriatric patients preferred
- Strong understanding of OSHA & infection control
- Reliable Transportation and Valid Driver's License
- Able to lift/transport equipment (25–50 lbs)
- Must pass federal background check drug screening
- Professional, punctual, and able to work independently
