Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in the Reno area. This role involves providing therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients regain functional abilities, improve safety, and enhance daily living skills in the home setting.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in the Reno area. This role involves providing therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients regain functional abilities, improve safety, and enhance daily living skills in the home setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
- Assist patients in improving mobility, self-care, and daily living activities
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Document patient progress in accordance with agency and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current NV COTA license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Home health experience preferred but not required
