Position Summary
The Switchboard Operator is responsible for answering a high volume of incoming calls promptly using excellent professional and customer service skills. They must communicate with patients, staff, and doctors clearly and effectively. Take messages and relay them to the appropriate departments.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM
Roles and Responsibilities
- Telephone coverage using your strong customer service and professional demeanor.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Organize and maintain a filing system.
- Sorting and distributing mail.
- Route calls to the appropriate departments.
- Protect patient’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- May perform back-up medical record duties.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- Progressive job history with minimum changes and progressive growth
- Strong data entry and telephone skills.
- Self-Motivated with problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Punctual and Dependable
- Ability to speak fluent Spanish is preferred but not required.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Demands
