Role and Responsibilities
- Perform urine drug screenings and alcohol screenings as needed per clinic protocol
- Collect blood specimens/phlebotomy for laboratory testing as needed
- Maintain proper specimen handling, labeling, and chain-of-custody procedures when applicable
- Prep urine and serum samples for lab pick-up
- Retrieve, upload and provide urine and serum results to provider for timey review
- Accurately document clinical information within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic safety standards
- Maintain inventory and stock clinical supplies
- Provide compassionate, professional, and nonjudgmental patient interactions
- Assist with obtaining/documenting patient vital signs, height, weight, and changes in medications/medical/psychosocial history
- Assist nursing staff with assigned clinical duties, patient care tasks and clerical duties if needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) with unrestricted license in Kentucky and a minimum of 3 years SUD, Psychiatric or MOUD experience preferred.
- Must successfully pass background checks and drug screening.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
