We are seeking a motivated individual who will be able to support the rapid growth of our manufacturing capabilities to join our team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing sales by searching out new applications and industries for our services. A successful candidate needs to understand all Compounding Solutions’ capabilities, identifying new opportunities, and following through on projects to bring us into new industries. The Business Development Manager will monitor industry trends to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue within the territory of New England, NY, NJ, and PA.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Reports to VP Sales & Marketing and joining a sales team of 15 energetic individuals.
- Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in new industries.
- Understands sales pipeline process and utilizes all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
- Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
- Recommend new products and services for developing markets.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Territory: CT, MA., ME, NH, NY, PA, RI, VT
Outside Sales Representative Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline
- 5 years of sales experience with in the plastics or plastics compounding market
- Must be willing to travel 50% of the time
- Strong computer skills and understanding of CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office software
- Strong presentation, customer service, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.

- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
