Position Overview
CCSI is seeking an experienced Connecticut Licensed Crane Operator for a new Marriott hotel construction project at Steelpointe Harbor in Bridgeport, CT.
The Crane Operator will primarily be responsible for lifting, positioning, and setting prefabricated exterior wall panels as part of the building installation process.
The project is expected to last approximately six months, with the opportunity for the right candidate to transition into a full-time position with CCSI.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate crane equipment to lift, position, and set prefabricated wall panels
- Work closely with installation crews, riggers, signal persons, and site supervision during panel placement
- Perform required daily and pre-operation crane inspections
- Follow load charts, lift plans, rigging procedures, and manufacturer operating requirements
- Maintain precise crane control during panel installation and placement
- Follow OSHA, Connecticut, and project-specific crane and jobsite safety requirements
- Identify and report equipment or jobsite safety concerns
- Maintain required crane inspection and operating documentation
Requirements
- Current Connecticut Crane Operator License – REQUIRED
- Proven crane operating experience in commercial construction
- Experience with panelized construction, prefabricated wall systems, or similar precision lifting preferred
- Current CCO/NCCCO certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of crane load charts, rigging, signaling, and safe lifting practices
- Ability to work effectively with installation crews and signal persons
- Dependable and safety-focused
- Available to start September 28, 2026
Compensation
$40.00- $45 per hour
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
