Stamping Press Operator

Composidie, Inc. is a vertically integrated contract manufacturer specializing in designing & building progressive stamping dies, high-speed metal stamping, reel-to-reel metal plating, and production grinding & machining.

We are currently hiring Stamping Press Operators.

The press operator is responsible for the operation of a stamping press to produce parts to design specifications in a safe and efficient manner. This includes following quality and safety procedures, and performing preventative maintenance on press and die when necessary. Receive and carry-out other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Individual will be responsible for in-process inspection of product and recording inspection results. Should have experience using measuring tools such as comparators, micrometers and calipers, knowledge of high-speed progressive metal stamping dies and ability to run a press.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Stamp materials to design specifications.
• Load reels of initial product onto press and remove reels of stamped product.
• Maintain records of production and inventory usage.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Utilize quality assurance practices including visually inspecting parts and the use of metrology equipment.
• Take samples of parts for quality assurance inspection.
• Perform necessary preventive maintenance.
• Remove and install stamping die when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
