What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance/Janitor position at COMPONENT ENGINEERS INC?
We are a manufacturing company in Wallingford, CT seeking a dependable individual for a first shift maintenance position.
This role is responsible for the daily upkeep of both the interior and exterior of our 52,000-square-foot facility. A valid, clean driving record is required, as occasional use of company vehicles is part of the job.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Applicants must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and have at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, break areas, office spaces, and shop floors
- Removal of trash and recycling throughout the facility
- General building maintenance and upkeep as needed
- Monitoring and purchasing supplies such as paper products, cleaning materials, and lighting
- Maintaining interior walls free of marks and stains; performing light painting as needed
- Keeping shop floors clean, organized, and free of debris
- Exterior maintenance including dumpster coordination, groundskeeping, landscaping, and snow removal at entryways
- Supporting all departments to ensure work areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
