Role Description
CPS is seeking an Entry Level Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineer to join its growing regional team in Horsham, PA. Successful candidate will have the ability to manage and execute various environmental related engineering projects and tasks concurrently. They will join our team to engage in assignment tasks such as design calculations for development of erosion control and stormwater management systems for commercial/industrial developments; CAD drawings preparation of grading and site wide engineering plans in support of new industrial facility developments and/or expansion projects; assisting with site work on construction or remediation projects as needed; and interfacing with state and local regulatory officials related to design, permitting and approvals. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to stormwater management, land management, construction requirements are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate project goals from clients and provide engineering design options to meet those goals. Provide specific design specifications and prepare budgetary cost estimates to construct the design.
- Provide applicable engineering design and regulatory references for project specifications and be familiar with associated technical guidance documents.
- Participate on project teams with other consultants and engineers to solve problems for clients and provide guidance based on sound engineering principles.
- Work with CPS Marketing department on RFP/RFQ submittal. Identify and provide solutions to any project issues impacting the project schedule, budget, or regulatory compliance requirements.
- Develop strong working relationships with current clients to foster additional work while developing new industry contacts where there is a potential for new work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Engineering, or a related discipline required. Engineers in training are welcome and can mentor under our Professional Engineers.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in public and private sectors.
- Detail-oriented individuals who possess extremely strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
- A Fundamentals in Engineering certificate is a plus and a path toward Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensing is encouraged and supported by the company.
- Willingness to travel locally for on-site inspections or client visits as necessary.
