Who We Are:

Lumelight is an integrated workplace administration and compliance business. We serve the brokers and third party administrators who support employers in the complex, crucial areas of benefits design, compliance and administration. We handle the complexities of benefits compliance and administration, empowering you to focus on what you do best.

As the thoughtful synthesis of carefully curated specialists, Lumelight was created to serve a highly fragmented market by simplifying benefits compliance, reducing exposure to risk and giving clients the freedom and confidence to focus on their core business and accelerate performance.

Today, Lumelight is seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Solutions Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the preparation, submission, and management of regulatory filings to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 0-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs and a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape.

We are looking for an experienced employee benefits health & welfare compliance consultant to join our team. The Senior Compliance Consultant helps clients – including employers, brokers, TPAs and PBMs – navigate and interpret federal and state regulatory requirements for employer-sponsored benefit plans (e.g., medical, dental, vision, and life).

Our compliance professionals stay current on evolving regulations and translate complex rules into practical, actionable guidance. We specialize in compliance requirements for employer-sponsored benefits under ERISA, COBRA, ACA, §125, MHPAEA, HIPAA and related federal and state requirements.

This is a remote position with occasional travel for client trainings, conferences, or team meetings. If you excel at solving complex benefit compliance challenges and communicating clearly to diverse audiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build productive, trusted relationships with clients nationwide
  • Provide expert health & welfare benefits compliance guidance
  • Handle 25-30 compliance questions daily via our helpline (via phone or email), ensuring a consistent 24-hour turnaround
  • Develop and present webinars, live trainings and seminars monthly
  • Compose timely compliance articles on a bi-weekly basis
  • Develop content for compliance-related tools and resources
  • Monitor legislation, regulations, and guidance to stay ahead of industry changes
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert and support product development
  • Mentor and coach colleagues to strengthen team expertise and capacity
  • Collaborate to improve team workflows, processes, and client-facing deliverables
  • Travel occasionally for client presentations, conferences, or internal team events (estimated approximately 1-2 times per quarter)

Requirements and Desired Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in employee benefits compliance; JD preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, §125, MHPAEA, HIPAA and related rules
  • Ability to distill complex federal and state regulatory information into clear written and verbal guidance
  • Strong consulting, analytical and business acumen
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated customer-service orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with compliance research tools (e.g., Thomson Reuter’s EBIA Checkpoint Library & Westlaw Advantage)

Work Environment:

This position is a remote position within approved Lumelight states. This job operates in a professional office environment, whether in person or remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Equipment will be provided to you.
