Job Description
Our client, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Lab Informatics Transformation Lead with strong experience in laboratory informatics systems such as SDMS (Scientific Data Management Systems), ELN (Electronic Lab Notebooks), and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
This role will support the configuration, implementation, and administration of laboratory data management platforms while ensuring alignment with scientific workflows. The role will also involve coordinating vendors and project activities to ensure successful implementation and delivery. The position reports to the Laboratory Informatics / IT organization and requires a professional who can work closely with scientists and IT teams to ensure accurate data capture, traceability, and proper data governance across laboratory systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and configuration of ELN, SDMS, and LIMS platforms
- Translate scientific laboratory workflows into scalable digital systems
- Integrate legacy laboratory instruments and instrument-generated data into SDMS platforms
- Support laboratory data migration and maintain strong data governance practices
- Provide system administration, including user access management, permissions, and system integrations
- Coordinate with vendors and manage project timelines and implementation activities
- Ensure data traceability and standardized data capture across laboratory experiments
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SDMS (Scientific Data Management Systems)
- Experience working with ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) platforms
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)
- Strong understanding of discovery laboratory workflows, data flows, and scientific processes
- Experience integrating laboratory instruments and managing instrument-generated data
- Knowledge of laboratory data governance, traceability, and system configuration
- Ability to collaborate effectively with scientists, laboratory teams, and IT stakeholders
