Summary:
Compli is seeking a Construction Project Engineer with project experience in most or multiple aspects of the Life Sciences construction industry including but not limited to. This individual will be responsible for all financial reporting on a project as well as tracking and projecting of all labor, material, job expenses, and changes. The successful candidate will also oversee monthly financial projections, creation of job specific schedule of values which maintains positive cash flow, and will create, submit, and manage all submittals throughout the entire project. This position requires the successful candidate to possess strong organizational, negotiation, financial, and communication skills.
What You'll Do:
- Function as an owner's representative and report to the client's management lead
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Meet with clients and clarify specific requirements of each capital project
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process flow maps to document project requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field: preferably mechanical or construction engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Engineering role
- Able to handle multiple projects where the total project's values exceed $100MM.
- Ability to converse about biologics and pharmaceutical manufacturing topics
- Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others
- In-depth understanding and application of project management principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Proficient in current Good Manufacturing Practices and other applicable FDA, USDA, and EU regulations
- Excellent client-facing relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, and AutoCAD Lite.

Additional Information:
- Collaborating with a large team requiring online meetings
- Long hours (minimum 45 hours) during construction and commissioning is expected with possible weekend work at times
- Expected to identify gaps and personally solve them without depending on staff
Travel: Working on site in Boulder, CO.
Salary: $60k-$90k based on experience level.
