As a Patient Support Specialist, you will be part of a remote, patient-facing team that serves as a key point of contact for our patients, facilities, and clinical staff. Position Overview
This is a remote call center–based role focused on patient communication, scheduling, and care coordination. Patient Support Specialists manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, support appointment scheduling, and ensure accurate documentation to help our clinical teams deliver timely care.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments across multiple providers and locations
- Provide general information to patients, caregivers, and facility staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate and process patient referrals
- Perform accurate and timely data entry in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Monitor and manage patient messages, faxes, and other incoming communications
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to support continuity of care
- Deliver a consistently positive patient experience through clear communication and problem-solving
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a phone-based, high-volume call environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and navigate multiple systems efficiently
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Healthcare, call center, or patient-facing experience preferred
