Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical examinations and health assessments of patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding their health conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Collaborate with hospitalists to ensure transitional care management services for recently discharged patients
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) system, preferably Cerner
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in healthcare practice
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Washington.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in acute care or behavioral health setting
- Proficient in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
