Role Description This is a full-time, on-site LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist) role located in Mocksville, NC. The LCAS will provide direct clinical services, including comprehensive substance use assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention. The role involves maintaining accurate, timely documentation, coordinating care with internal and external providers, and participating in case reviews and treatment team meetings. The LCAS will educate clients and families about recovery resources, support relapse prevention planning, and adhere to all applicable professional, legal, and regulatory standards. The position may also include contributing to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and community outreach related to addiction services.
Qualifications
- Active LCAS license (or equivalent state-recognized credential in addiction counseling) and good standing with relevant licensing board.
- Experience providing substance use assessments, individual and group therapy, and person-centered treatment planning.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment, recovery models, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation, comply with regulatory requirements, and use electronic health record systems.
- Excellent communication, cultural humility, and interpersonal skills for working with diverse clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and trauma-informed, nonjudgmental care.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field preferred.
- Prior experience in outpatient, community-based, or integrated behavioral health settings is highly beneficial.
