What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wedding Videographer - Must live in the Greater Baton Rouge area position at COMPLETE weddings + events?
Tired of chasing clients, handling contracts, and spending endless hours editing? Love shooting weddings and events but want to focus on what you actually enjoy?
Join a established, high-volume team that’s coordinated thousands of weddings and private events.
At Complete Weddings Events, we’re not your average vendor. We’re a fun, professional, and growing team that delivers extraordinary experiences for our clients while creating a great place to work. We’re selective and we only want driven, talented people with a servant’s heart who are passionate about people and love delivering amazing customer service.
Important Note on Schedule
This role is 90% Saturday evenings during our busy seasons (Spring and Fall). You must be available to work during college football season (including game days). If you can’t miss the big game or prefer a traditional Monday–Friday schedule, this opportunity is not for you.
Requirements
Must have (or be willing to obtain) individual event liability insurance (~$200/year)
Professional Video Gear (minimum standards):
Camera: 4K at 60fps minimum. Must perform well in both bright outdoor and low-light indoor conditions. Backup camera strongly preferred.
Lenses: One 24-70mm (or similar) zoom one fast portrait lens (f/1.8–f/2.0) for detail shots and shallow depth of field.
Stabilization: IBIS in-camera and/or a gimbal (e.g., Zhiyun Crane, Ronin, etc.).
Audio: At least 1 wireless lavalier microphone dedicated audio recorder. (On-camera audio is backup only.)
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance
Available to work weekends, especially Saturdays in peak seasons
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude
Willing to complete our hands-on training (we’re looking for long-term team members, not one-off gig workers)
What We Provide
- No client chasing — we handle marketing, booking, contracts, billing, and client communication
- No editing required — our editing team handles post-production to match your style
- Extensive ongoing training with experienced industry professionals
- Starting pay of $225 (2nd shooters) – $600 per event (based on experience and performance). Average starting pay for a 1st shooter with minimal wedding experience for a 6 hour wedding is $400 and goes up as you work more events. If you have extensive wedding experience, starting pay is negotiable.
- Performance bonuses and growth opportunities
- A supportive, fun team environment with other wedding pros
- Flexible scheduling — shoot as many or as few events as you want
