Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized in-home care tailored to each client's unique needs, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status, changes in condition, and safety concerns to healthcare teams or family members
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients by performing light housekeeping and safety checks
- Foster positive relationships through empathetic communication and respectful engagement
- Document care provided accurately and consistently in accordance with agency policies
Requirements
- Prior experience working as an In Home Caregiver or in related settings such as Geriatrics, Post-acute care, or Medical-surgical environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare practices including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care settings
- Experience with Level II trauma centers or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous for understanding emergency procedures
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) environments adds value
- Ability to perform OR (Operating Room) procedures or assist with complex medical tasks when necessary
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Valid certification in caregiving or relevant health-related fields is a plus; ongoing training encouraged
