Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Assist with merchandising efforts to keep displays attractive, organized, and stocked with the latest products
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
• Support stocking activities to ensure shelves are replenished promptly and inventory levels are maintained
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales potential
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings (English/Spanish or other languages)
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for supporting team initiatives
• Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management tasks efficiently
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
• Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
