We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pre-Operative Nurse/Recovery Nurse to join our surgical team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations to evaluate patient readiness for surgery.
- Verify patient identification, surgical site marking, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Administer medications such as sedation or antibiotics as prescribed, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Educate patients on pre-operative instructions, including fasting guidelines, medication management, and post-operative expectations.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
- Assess and monitor patients recovering from general, regional, or procedural anesthesia.
- Continiously evaluate airway, breathing, circulation, neurological status and pain level
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately within ASC standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a registered nurse in perioperative or surgical settings with familiarity in pre-operative care/recovery procedures.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Medical experience working geriatrics
- Skilled in IV infusion, medication administration, airway management
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environment
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
