Schedule

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Availability for periodic evening and weekend work
• Onsite (this is not a remote or hybrid role)

Compensation

• $110,000-$180,000 annually, based on experience

What You’ll Do
Provide comprehensive outpatient optometric care:

• Examine eyes to assess visual acuity, perception, coordination, and focus (subjective refractions, retinoscopy, lensometry, slit lamp, visual fields, pupil and mobility testing, and more)
• Diagnose diseases and anomalies such as glaucoma and color blindness
• Document diagnoses and treatment plans, including referrals and prescriptions
• Prescribe and fit contact lenses and eyeglasses
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and low-vision rehabilitation and vision therapy
• Review incoming labs and imaging, sign off, and follow up per guidelines
• Facilitate referrals and coordinate care with the clinical team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, coding, and billing

What You Bring

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited university
• Active Connecticut optometry license
• Certified in prescribing oral medications
• BLS certification
• DEA license a plus
• Bilingual a plus
