Purchasing Agent

Manufacturer/assembler of custom electrical wiring harness.

A small growing company involved in all major markets: medical, automotive, agriculture, hydraulic power, and many more.

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Electrical assembly component purchasing / familiarity a plus

• Must have proficient computer and analytical skills

• Purchasing certifications a plus but not required

• Ability to work and focus in a fast paced, demanding environment

• Reviews material needs for current and future orders for assigned customers. Determines appropriate amount of material to purchase.

• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Determines best value for company by weighing all factors and making decisions.

• Follows any company ISO procedures for purchasing

• Prepares/Sends purchase orders and bid requests and updates appropriate co-workers.

• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contract terms within any budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

Hours: 7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, OT as required Salary: $55-$80k based on experience
