Position Summary/Purpose

Ensure customer satisfaction by thoroughly fulfilling each job’s scope of work and delivering cleaning, mitigation, and restoration services in a timely and effective manner. Perform restoration work for water damage, fire/smoke damage, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup, maintaining high-quality, safety, and customer service standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Effectively perform all services the company offers, including water, fire, mold, and biohazard remediation.

· Perform water extraction, structural drying, and moisture monitoring using specialized equipment.

· Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.

· Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials, including drywall, flooring, and insulation.

· Complete mold remediation, including containment setup, removal, and cleaning procedures.

· Perform cleaning and restoration services for fire and smoke-damaged properties.

· Safely handle and dispose of biohazard materials in accordance with company procedures and regulations.

· Complete appropriate restoration documentation, including photos, moisture logs, and job notes.

· Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.

· Communicate effectively with customers regarding job progress and next steps.

· Follow all company safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition

· Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours and on-call situations.

· Support additional duties or projects as needed, in the direction of company leadership.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.

· Communicate with the team about the inventory of related supplies.

· Perform basic building maintenance.

· Attend company meetings as scheduled.

· Determine the appropriate methods and sequence of steps required to complete assigned restoration tasks in accordance with company guidelines.

· Communicate job site needs and concerns to the Field Supervisor.

Working Relationships and Scope

· Maintain timely and effective communication and flow of information with Lead Technicians, Supervisors, or Managers.

· Work collaboratively with other technicians to complete jobs efficiently.

· Interact professionally with customers while on job sites.

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Experience in restoration, construction or related field preferred but not required.

· Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills required to measure materials, track moisture readings, and follow job specifications.

Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.

· Computer Skills

Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and mobile devices and job-related software used to report and record daily activity.

· Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Certification in performing appropriate services: IICRC Certifications in Water (WRT), Mold (AMRT), Fire/Smoke/Odor (FSRT/OCT), Lead RRP, Microbial Pest Management.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, perform repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements, reach with the hands and arms, and speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb. This role involves physical labor associated with demolition and removal of building materials, including pulling, prying, cutting, breaking apart materials, and loading, carrying, and disposing of debris. The employee must be able to safely use ladders and basic hand and power tools (such as hammers, pry bars, utility knives, reciprocating saws, drills, and similar equipment) and work in areas with uneven surfaces and confined spaces as needed. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions

· The work of this position is predominantly carried out on the customer’s property. Employees will encounter facilities where standing water and sewage are present, heat is unavailable due to a lack of utilities, fire damage has occurred, and mold or other organic growth is present. Daily exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is typical.

· Noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate to possibly high at times.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
