Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Lumper to join our warehouse operations team. The Lumper plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of freight, managing inventory movement, and maintaining safety standards throughout warehouse activities. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate will bring experience in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling to support seamless shipping and receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using by hand or appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage inventory movement by scanning items with RF scanners and updating inventory records accordingly.
• Participate in shipping and receiving activities by verifying goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting to move pallets, boxes, or other cargo (Furniture) within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures related to warehouse operations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Support warehouse supervisors in daily operations and communicate any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with load & unload processes ensuring timely delivery schedules are met. ( Able to complete in 3 hours or less.)
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them into assigned places. (Furniture)
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for the facilities.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environment preferred.
• Proven ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and materials handling procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Requirements:

• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination.
• Able to complete unloading in 3 hours or less.
• Able to unload by hand or pallet jack.
