Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for planting trees, shrubs, and perennials, performing seeding and hydroseeding operations, installing erosion control products, and assisting with site restoration on commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Install trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, and groundcovers according to plans and specifications.
- Perform lawn seeding, hydroseeding, and straw mulch applications.
- Prepare seedbeds by raking, grading, and soil conditioning.
- Install erosion control products including silt fence, compost filter socks, and erosion control blankets.
- Assist with fine grading, topsoil placement, and site cleanup.
- Operate landscaping equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compact tractors, power rakes, and hand tools (experience preferred).
- Read layout plans and follow project specifications.
- Water and maintain newly installed plant material as needed.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and help maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized job sites.
Qualifications
- Experience in landscaping, planting, seeding, hydroseeding, or erosion control preferred.
- Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and planting techniques is a plus.
- Experience operating skid steers or compact equipment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus).
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
