Duties
- Assist licensed plumbers and technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites.
- Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading machines.
- Support the assembly and installation of piping, fixtures, and HVAC components following schematics and blueprints.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines to cut, shape, and install pipes accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assist in project planning and execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and assisting with site cleanup.
- Support remodeling, maintenance tasks, and basic carpentry work as needed to ensure project progress.
Experience
- Prior experience or training in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with construction plumbing systems or HVAC is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, or pipe threading is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizes and layouts.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, or mechanical drawings enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Previous field service or handyman experience can be beneficial for understanding diverse construction tasks.
