Job Title: Bookkeeper and Accounts Payable
Reports to: CEO
Work Location: Can work remote a few days per week, but will be expected to go in to the office weekly and check mail and work with the internal team.
COMS is looking for a certified and experienced bookkeeper to maintain books for a large construction company. ***MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY***
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or higher education
- Certified bookkeeper OR equivalent experience
- An eye for detail
- The ability to meet deadlines
- The ability to communicate complex data in a clear way
- Exceptional organizational skills
- The ability to prioritize projects
- Customer service skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Payroll accounting skills
- *Must have prior experience in construction business - Non-negotiable
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactions
- Monitoring cash flow and cashflow reporting (daily)
- Preparing and filing financial documents
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Fact-checking accounting data
- Reconciling company accounts
- Processing payroll and tracking payroll data
- Assisting with tax payments and returns
- Working with staff accountants as needed
- Working directly with construction team on when, how, and what bills are to be paid according to work performed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
