Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce an opening for a Driver Helper at our dynamic and fast-paced company. This contract/temporary position provides an invaluable opportunity to engage with our dedicated delivery team, supporting operations and ensuring the effective delivery of our products. This is not a remote job, and the selected candidate will be involved in active, on-site tasks that require precise teamwork and commitment. Duties and Responsibilities

• Ride with and assist the Delivery Driver in the tractor-trailer, tandem trailer, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and other foodservice items.
• Ensure deliveries are conducted in a safe and timely manner in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and timely.
• Review daily work schedule and coordinate with the supervisor for truck and driver assignments.
• Assist with the inspection of the cab and trailer to ensure they meet company quality standards and take appropriate action as required.
• Ride to and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule.
• Obtain and set up conveyor systems (if applicable), verify items in the trailer against the customer order, and release load locks.
• Unload products from the trailer to designated customer storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks on items and coordinate with the supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
• Load customer returns onto trailer, breakdown and stow the roller conveyor system (if applicable), and secure trailer doors.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns at the driver check-in dock and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching (above shoulder level), standing, sitting, stooping, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying actions with objects over 20lbs.
• More than 25% travel required for deliveries.
• Steel-toe shoes/boots required.
• Must be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/Trailer.
• Ability to perform Pre/Post trip safety inspections as required by the DOT.
• Complete training to operate an onboard computer.
• Must be able to apply tire chains when necessary.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Must possess basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Availability needed Monday through Saturday, 5 to 6-day work week; must be flexible with potential on-call requirements, depending on business needs.
• Position reports to the yard in Mansfield, TX and will ride with the driver to deliver product to customers.
• Helpers will utilize a two-wheeler and ramp to make the deliveries with the driver.
• Potential to become permanent depending on performance, attendance, and service.
