Who we are
Complete Line Glass has been serving the glass & glazing industry since the 1980’s. With a fleet of over 30 delivery vehicles we deliver cases, stock sheets, tempered glass, insulated glass, aluminum storefront and glass on racks to customer’s shops and jobsites.
Job Summary: Works in the glass line in our Manufacturing Plant. Focuses on tasks to ensure production is maximized. Completes paperwork as required. Requiring mandatory flexible hours and scheduling.
- Shift: 6am to finish, M-F, starting at $18 an hour
Premium Department Job Description:
Flexible Work Schedule – Must be able to stay until the work is completed. This department does have different start times due to machine maintenance or a machine going down. We will ask the employee to start later or leave and come back later to finish the work scheduled.
Self-Motivated – The employee needs to be able to look beyond the bare minimum requirements of the job.
Teamwork – Will be working with 5-7 other employees that will be working to achieve our production goal in an effective way.
Heavy Lifting – The employee will be required to lift 40-60lbs on and off the line continuously. We do have other lifting machines to help for anything that surpasses our safety requirements and team lifting if a machine is not available.
Tech-Savvy – Some of the machines require a lot more extra thinking when dealing with parameters or just in general modern technology.
Work Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Free to move around plant environment as necessary
- Must be self-motivated with a proper sense of urgency
- Must be able to walk and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to operate necessary equipment for the position: glass line equipment, telephone, computer, etc.
Requirements
- Shift: 6am to finish, M-F, starting at $18 an hour
- Preferred: 2 years of glass cutting experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting - willing to train the right individuals
- High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
- Experience in glass handling and safety procedures
- Attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Operates glass cutting machines, optimizer utilization, extensive glass handling
- Responsible to report safety and quality issues to management
- Keeps pace and production as set forth by management / company standards.
- Contributes to meet glass line safety, production, quality, scrap, remake and labor goals
- Daily attention to cleanliness and organization.
