Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to generate detailed cost reports.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal cost control.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and provide updates as necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
