Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Utilize 3D scanners for digital impressions when required.
- Support the dentist in prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes.
- Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills in four-handed dentistry and assisting roles.
- Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable.
