What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Construction Cleaner position at Complete Cleaning Services?
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Post-Construction Cleaner to transform newly built or freshly renovated spaces into spotless, move-in-ready environments. In this role, you will clear fine construction dust, remove leftover debris, sanitize surfaces, and detail glass and fixtures so the property passes final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Debris & Rough Cleaning: Remove bulk trash, scrap materials, plastic wrapping, stickers, and heavy dust from job sites.
- High & Low Dusting: Clean ceiling fans, light fixtures, HVAC vents, duct exteriors, crown molding, walls, and baseboards from top to bottom.
- Surface & Detail Cleaning: Wipe down interior and exterior cabinets, drawers, doors, hardware, and switch plates.
- Glass & Mirror Care: Wash, scrape (as needed), and streak-free clean all interior/exterior windows, window tracks, mirrors, and glass doors.
- Floor Restoration & Care: Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery using HEPA-filtered equipment; sweep, scrub, and mop hard floors (hardwood, tile, vinyl, or polished concrete).
- Restroom & Kitchen Sanitation: Deep clean sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, tile grout, and newly installed appliances.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in post-construction cleaning, commercial janitorial work, or deep residential cleaning is strongly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Deep understanding of the "top-to-bottom, dry-to-wet" cleaning method to ensure fine drywall dust does not settle on finished floors.
- Reliability: Reliable transportation to various construction or commercial sites.
- Certifications (Bonus): Active OSHA-10/30 certification or bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.
Work Environment
- Performed on active or recently completed construction/renovation sites.
- May involve exposure to dust, noise, temperature shifts, and uneven walking surfaces.
