Job Responsibilities
As a Nurse Shift Supervisor, you will oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care during the PM shift. Your key responsibilities include:
- Supervision & Leadership: Supervise shift nursing staff to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Monitor clinical tasks, including medication distribution and treatment protocols.
- Patient Care Coordination: Assess resident needs, develop care plans, conduct regular nursing rounds, and coordinate with physicians to ensure quality outcomes.
- Education & Quality Assurance: Provide ongoing guidance to staff, residents, and families. Track treatments and ensure all documentation is accurate and HIPAA-compliant.
- Team Collaboration: Work independently and collaboratively to fulfill operational duties, assisting the DON, ADON, and Administrator as needed.
- Licensure: Active RN (Registered Nurse) in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related facility. Experience in inpatient, palliative care, and staff management is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills.
