Responsibilities: ADON/IP
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection rates, identifying trends and developing strategies to reduce the spread of infections
- Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Committee to develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control practices
- Provide education and training to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on infection prevention and control best practices
- Conduct investigations and incident reports related to infections and outbreaks, developing corrective actions and implementing improvements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, monitoring, and education
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention-related projects
- Stay up to date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in infection prevention and control
- Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Infection Preventionist certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, practices, and regulations
- Proven experience in infection prevention and control, with a strong background in epidemiology and surveillance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop evidence-based recommendations
