Director Of Admissions Schedule & Benefits
- Schedule: Full-time, day shift, including Manager on Duty Weekend rotation

- Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Admissions in a long-term care setting
- Possess a passion for marketing and building census
- Knowledge of medical insurance, Medicare and Medicaid
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment or part of a group
- Computer knowledge and using Point Click Care software
- Records information concerning inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports
- Coordinates the inquiry process, facilitating admission assessment and the admission process including all required paperwork
- Appropriately notifies facility representatives of admission updates
- Keep a monthly record of census, matching numbers with the Business Office to ensure accuracy at the end of each month
- Provide information on referral leads, admissions, and discharges on a weekly basis or as requested
- Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability
- Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate
- Maintain close contact with all referral sources
- Notify hospitals of bed availability regularly
