- Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
- Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
- Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.
- 2 years supervisory experience in long-term care setting.
- Previous teaching and training in an adult environment, experience in infection control training.
- Computer knowledge.
- Must be willing to complete CDC Infection Control Training Certification within 60 days of employment if not already certified.
- Must have an Active RN license.
