To provide CNA classroom and clinical training in accordance with the Delaware Department of Health curriculum here within our facility-based learning atmosphere
Responsibilities
- Instructs and supervises the Certified Nurse Aide course in a manner consistent with established program
- Prepare Course materials
- Evaluate and assess students through administering and grading examinations, assignments, skills assessments and clinical evaluation
- Ensure rules and/or policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior are maintained in all academic settings
- Ensures regulatory compliance with state and federal program guidelines
- Determines students have satisfactory performance of all critical knowledge and skills to ensure students are competent before performing patient care activities
- Prepares students to sit for the Delaware Certified Nursing Assistant Assistant exam, both competency & skills
- Create class schedule and monitors student attendance.
- Must be a good communicator
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- RN with experience in LTC/SNF
- Completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners, or the teaching the educator course for the CNA program through the state of Delaware
